Illinois Shorthair Rescue (ISR), Midwest Rescue (Midwest), and True Hearts of Rottweiler Rescue (THORR) are teaming up to host a different kind of Cinco de Mayo celebration, one that focuses on helping homeless dogs. Fiesta de los Perros will be held Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Port of Blarney, located at 27843 West Grass Lake Road, Antioch, IL. Festivities begin at 7:00 p.m., and will include a DJ, silent auctions, a 50/50 and other raffles, as well as pictures of available dogs, information about dog breeds rescued, and an opportunity to speak to rescue representatives.
