Small but Competent IT firm in Upstate New York
Pragmeta Networks, a firm specializing in Network Design and Implementation, Web Development, Web Hosting and Security Consulting is quietly making an impact in upstate New York.
Buried under two to three feet of snow, the Pragmeta team is busy with lots of projects in rural, upstate New York. Located in the town of Oneonta, almost equidistant between Albany and Binghamton New York, this area is exploding in the aftermath of the post 9-11 relocation.
The firm is lucky to have a brother team that has been in the business for twenty years or more. CEO, Rob Kamerling was designing software for farmers in this area well before Bill Gates made his first billion. Even while in high school in nearby Cortland NY, he and his buddies had developed a software development company to put themselves through college.
Following in his brother's footsteps, Erik Kamerling, has honed his technical skills by specializing in the cyber security arena. Erik is currently a member of the SANS Institute certified in GIAC security essentials and is on the GSEC advisory board. Erik ensures that all customers get state of the art security features in all aspects of the company's service delivery.
The development team is working on a very exciting project for the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Other projects run the gamut of developing e-commerce and other database driven web sites. For more information about this up and comer, check out www.pragmeta.com.
