The Maynard Brothers Band to open for Roomful of Blues
MBB Ignites Troys Revolution Hall with Roomfull of Blues July 5, 2003
Johnsonville, NY — June 23, 2003 — Get set for an evening of original blues and roadhouse rock as PacificSol recording artists, The Maynard Brothers Band open for Alligator recording artists, Roomful of Blues. The MBB are set to ignite the fireworks at Troys new Revolution Hall on July 5, 2003 as they kick-off the show for blues great, Roomful of Blues.
The Maynard Brothers Band, a blues-afflicted-roadhouse-rock group, recently were honored with an encore performance at Marylands Bay Music Festival with blues drivers Tom Principato and Deanna Bogart. Closer to home, the band lit up The Glens Falls Blues Festival with Ernie Williams and Dona Oxford in June. The quartet released their second CD of all original material Nasty Packages" earlier this year and it appeared in the June 2003 issue of internationally distributed Blues Revue as one of the 10 most listened-to recordings in Blues Revue offices. In 2002, the MBB were winners of the 2002 Northeast Blues Societys Colossal Contenders contest and were NEBSs representative to the 2002 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. The MBBs original song, What To Do", is featured in a soon-to-be-released feature film, Love Thy Neighbor", andDown To The River", was one of the top six Blues Songs nominated from over 102,000 entries as Best Blues Song in the national Just Plain Folks Music Awards.
