A world-famous music venue and Los Angeles landmark for 82 years, the Hollywood Bowl will be reopening in 2004 with a brand new stage and shell. Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 21, 2004 - A world-famous music venue and Los Angeles landmark for 82 years, the Hollywood Bowl will be reopening in 2004 with a brand new stage and shell. To celebrate this next phase of Hollywood Bowl history, Global Branding Group announces the launch of HollywoodBowlArt.com, a unique online store offering collectible memorabilia created out of the old Hollywood Bowl shell and stage floor.

The old shell was dismantled in late 2003 to make way for a new shell that retains the famous design but allows for better acoustics and incorporation of modern technology. The most well-known of the shells that have served as the Hollywood Bowl's stage, the previous shell was built in 1929 and is recognized for its concentric rings as well as the large spheres that hung from the ceiling.

Pieces of the old stage, upon which such legends as Judy Garland stood, will be preserved in numbered, limited edition collectibles. Items featured include a miniature reproduction of the shell, a laser crystal sculpture, t-shirts, and luxury watches. Original artwork created from the Bowls spheres is also being developed, and will be on display at the end of June.

Global Branding Group, a Southern California company, has been retained by the County of Los Angeles to commemorate the Hollywood Bowl with these special, limited edition items. The County of Los Angeles will be receiving 20% of the proceeds from sales of the art and collectible items, to help the cash-strapped County Parks & Recreation Department.

Currently, the exclusive venue for the sale of these items is online at the website at HollywoodBowlArt.com. These items will be sold only during the 2004 calendar year and with limited quantities available, they are sure to become valuable collector's items. This will be the last opportunity to own a piece of the historic shell.

Visitors to the website can also contribute stories of their memories of the Hollywood Bowl for a chance to win a cruise for two to Mexico.
