York, PA (PRWEB) June 14, 2004 -- After only 10 months since the introduction of the Dearborn Deuce convertible, Hot Rods & Horsepower is now in full production on their much-awaited '32 roadster body with its innovative disappearing top. The company showed an impressive lineup of production bodies at the NSRA Nats East in York, Penn. on June 4, 5, and 6th, clearly demonstrating its production capabilities.

ASC Incorporated of Southgate, Mich., H&H's manufacturing partner on the new convertible bodies and a full-service specialty-vehicle development partner for automotive manufacturers, has complete program management responsibility. Assembly of the new bodies will ramp up quickly to the rate of one body per day at ASC's main development facility, located in Southgate just outside Detroit. A dedicated building for H&H's automotive activities now produces bodies, as well as complete turnkey cars, at ASC's Southgate campus.

Mark Trostle, President of ASC's Creative Services division, was also on hand in York, PA, addressing specific questions and discussing program highlights with H&H customers. "One of the main goals of this project," said Trostle, "was to bring a 'Detroit-OEM level' of quality and production workmanship to the street rod industry, and I think ASC is very much achieving that goal for Hot Rods & Horsepower — just as we are achieving it with General Motors in our sub-assembly production of the Chevy SSR. That certainly seemed to be the feedback I was getting from Dearborn Deuce customers I talked with in York."

ASC's award-winning programs include vehicle development and sub-assembly of the Chevrolet SSR; convertible systems for the BMW Z4, Toyota Solara and Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder; and numerous appearance programs and body packages for such products as the Dodge SRT-4, Dodge Viper SRT-10 and Pontiac Grand Am SC/T. Founded in 1965 and headquartered in Southgate, Mich., the company employs more than 1,000 car nuts at ten facilities in the U.S. and Germany, and can be visited on the Web at http://www.ascglobal.com.
