(PRWEB) January 6, 2005 -- Crem, an internationally renowned Russian Rock-n-Roll band plans a three week US tour for April - May, 2005. The tour is scheduled to coincide with Crems release of a new CD and will include cities on both US coasts, as well as Americas heartland with surprise concerts scheduled for Denver, CO and Chicago, IL. Started in Moscow in 1983, Crematorium (not to be confused with the Los Angeles based band by the same name) gained quick recognition, achieved the status of a Legend of Russian Rock-n-Roll" and after 20 years on stage continues to delight its audiences throughout the former Soviet Union, Holland, Germany, Israel and the United States.

The groups founder, bass-guitar vocalist Armen Grigoryan, grew up listening to the magic sounds of Beatles mysteriously penetrating the Iron Curtain. Inspired by Beatles music, fame and success, Armen, while still in high school, started his musical career and a search for his own unique sounds that would capture listeners imaginations. A decade-long search came to fruition in 1984, when Crem added a violin to their version of Rock-n-Roll.

As Crem has grown and changed styles, it has emerged in the words of Rodion Schedrin, a famous Russian composer and the husband of Maya Plisetskaya, as the original Waltz-Rock" band, much different from its underground beginnings, but always true to its passion to create original music. Uniqueness of Crematorium is also in their improvisational style. Instead of boringly regurgitating the same old program at every performance, Crem uses a solid music base to recreate every performance anew, adding slight nuances, visualization effects and just plain Crem magic, which can only be felt at a live concert.

Over the years, Crematorium has released 14 albums of original songs, 8 compilations, 2 discs of historic musical recordings and numerous live concert CDs. The groups 2005 US tour is scheduled to coincide with their first new original song CD release in 2 years. Additional information on the group is available in Russian at, www.crematorium.ru.
