Military Applauds Janet Fisher For RHYTHM OF HONOR Efforts
Janet Fisher, producer of "Rhythm Of Honor," a collection of songs about individuals serving in the military, found a tribute in her mailbox from grateful soldiers serving in Iraq.
Santa Cruz, CA (PRWEB) December 3, 2005 -- A United States flag was flown for the entire day on Sept. 10, 2005, over Camp Fallujah, Iraq, in honor of Janet Fisher; and recently delivered to a very surprised same.
"I couldn't believe it," Ms. Fisher said, still stunned with the impact of what she felt then and now.
"When I created RHYTHM OF HONOR, I wanted to pay tribute to every man and woman giving their all in the military. The writers understood my vision, and we finished a terrific CD."
"We also agreed to give a portion of all sales to the Wounded Warriors Hospital Fund, who gives 95% of it's funding directly to the comfort of the troops. 95%! So we did a lot of promoting of the WWHF cause and fund along with the supportive music."
"I never expected anything in return. I just wanted to extend the usefulness of the album, I barely hoped to break even on the CDs," Fisher laughs and continues, "But seriously, an honor like this has no price. It is irreplaceable, and I will treasure it among the most precious items that were ever given to me."
"I went to my mailbox, and there was a package. I opened it, it contained a red, white and blue box. I opened that, and there was a letter from Col. John Folsom of the Wounded Warriors, along with my certificate from the US Department of the Navy, and the beautiful flag itself -- flown over Camp Fallujah. You know I started to cry, I couldn't help it. It was an honor that was overwhelming, as they do so much for me, and I so little for them by comparison."
"So, I cherish this flag on behalf of every caring person who worked on RHYTHM OF HONOR, and hope it inspires other American's to use their talents and intelligence to express their beliefs, whether they concur with my own, or not.
That's the true USA that I know and want to protect -- freedom, free speech, a Constitution with original founders' intended rights, based on Judeo-Christian law, with a respect for God, each other, the planet, and mankind in general. At least, that is my own philosophy, I will gladly listen to yours."
