Two More Extraordinary and Rare Nautical Antiques and a Treasure Chest of Boat Models Highlight Joel Harry Jacobs' Christmas Offerings

An early Smith, Browning & Rust octant, a Naval Ship Battle Block Print of the Russo-Japanese War of 1905, and a collection of finished boat models highlight just a few of Joel Harry Jacobs' many Christmas offerings

Jupiter, Florida, (PRWEB) December 9, 2005 -- Jacobs' Land And Sea Collection is featuring many exceptional finds in its Christmas selection of fine nautical antiques and collectables for the discriminating buyer.

THE SPENCER BROWNING & RUST OCTANT: Offered is one of the earliest examples of an antique octant made in the late 1700's. It has the three mirrors, the lower of which is for back sights, and two peep sights that mark this as an important instrument from a noteworthy English instrument maker. It comes in the traditional early style stepped keystone shaped case.

This is a worthy gift for someone seeking only the most prized in antique nautical instruments. For further details go: http://landandseacollection.com/id120.html

JAPANESE WOOD BLOCK PRINT OF 1905 NAVAL BATTLE: Offered are three classic signed wood block prints Ca 1905 celebrating the Russo-Japanese War. These are done in the style of Hiroshige and are signed, but not verified. The scene depicts sailors in a Japanese warship firing a cannon at the enemy and is done in beautiful tones of grey, and blues with black and red accents. This is the 100th anniversary of the event.

The set of three screens is a perfect gift for the most discriminating collector, and one which rightly belongs in a museum. For further details go: http://landandseacollection.com/id102.html

THE MODEL BOAT COLLECTION: Another outstanding present is any one of the many model boats that are available. All are built using plank on bulkhead construction, completely finished in authentic colors, sails and trim.

JACOBS' LINE OF QUALITY MODERATELY PRICED BOAT MODELS include a 1926 raised deck cabin cruiser, the Chris Craft Barrel Back, the Garwood Speedster, and a classic 1920 motor yacht in motor vessels. In sailboats they have the Crosby cat, the Marshall 18, and Beetle cats, two different sizes of the Schooner Bluenose, a Friendship sloop, Schooners Adventuress, America, Amistad in two sizes, the much admired Herreshoff's 12.5 "S" boats, and New York 30, the Schooner Adventuress, J Class Rainbow, Endeavour, Enterprise, Shamrock, each as full models or half hulls, and also the three masted lumber Schooner WAWONA and Sparkman & Stephen's ocean racer Dorade, yawl Odyssey, and Concordia yawl.
