Borgwarner Turbo Systems Has a Record Setting Year in Sport Compact Racing
BorgWarner’s AirWerks sponsored race teams shatter records during the 2005 season.
Asheville, NC (PRWEB) December 17, 2005 -- From their involvement with GM Racing’s Sport Compact program to their work with Brent Rau at OSOFAST Racing, BorgWarner Turbo Systems (BWTS) has been setting records and developing new product configurations with record-setting speed. BorgWarner Turbo Systems advanced its AirWerks program by developing, building and testing custom-hybrid S400SX turbochargers for two record setting race teams.
The S400SX AirWerks turbocharger is a serviceable non-ball bearing turbo that excels with a high-pressure ratio compressor stage utilizing extended-tip technology and a high efficiency turbine stage. This specialized turbo configuration provides ultra-fast response and more than 60 PSI of boost.

The Cobalt ran the quickest and fastest FWD pass ever with 7.292s @ 201.61 at Norwalk Raceway and ended the season with an unheard-of 7.12s run at NHRA Pomona.”
