Museum Replicas Acquires Ridley Scotts Newest Film, "Kingdom of Heaven"

Museum Replicas Limited, the worlds leading manufacturer of historical swords, armor and period clothing is pleased to announce the release of The Kingdom of Heaven Collection.

Conyers, GA (PRWEB) March 23, 2005 -- Museum Replicas Limited, the worlds leading manufacturer of historical swords, armor and period clothing is pleased to announce the release of The Kingdom of Heaven Collection. Based on the epic motion picture, "Kingdom of Heaven," released through Twentieth Century Fox and directed by Ridley Scott, this line of licensed collectibles will include beautiful reproductions of the swords, helmets, armor, weapons, props and clothing seen in the film. Utilizing many of the actual props from the film, each collectible was expertly reproduced by the master craftsmen at Windlass Steelcrafts.

"All of the swords have high-carbon tempered blades, which are both perfectly balanced and battle worthy in every way," says Dave Di Pietro, Director of Sales and Marketing. He adds, "Most reproductions based from movie swords are heavy, stainless steel wall hangers. Though they are nice to look at, these weighty pieces are usually not a faithful working counterpart of the screen used blades."

For over fifty years, Windlass Steelcrafts has been producing functional swords, combining the ancient art of blacksmithing with all of the modern technologies at their disposal. All of these techniques come together in this exquisite line of swords. There will be a sword released for each of the central characters from the film and they will come with an attractive wall plaque, allowing it to be easily displayed. Also, for the first time, exacting reproductions of the film scabbards and belts will be available.

Every scabbard is hand-made of wood, then covered in leather, with all of the period fittings. All of the matching, top grain leather belts allow the sword to be adjustable, so that it hangs properly from the waist. Equally amazing is the extensive line of clothing, helmets, weapons and shields reproduced from the film. Many months of careful research has gone into making these pieces exactly like the garments used in the motion picture. From the gold metallic crewel work of the Jerusalem coat-of-arms, to the rich imported fabrics of Saladins robe, no detail was overlooked in making these fantastic costumes available to discriminating fans throughout the world.

"There has never been such an extensive line of exacting reproductions from a motion picture, manufactured by a single company," says Di Pietro. "Just as movie audiences become more sophisticated in their viewing tastes, so do the collectors of these higher end collectibles. People are beginning to realize that these pieces are not only purchased for their ever-increasing intrinsic value, but for their esthetic beauty in adding that unique decorating conversation piece to an office, den or library."

The Kingdom of Heaven Collection is due to begin shipping May, 2005 and can be viewed on the Museum Replicas website (www.museumreplicas.com), beginning April 6th. Kingdom of Heaven opens worldwide in May 2005.
