About Community Schools:
In July 2004, the Anchorage Community Education Association (ACEA), a private non-profit, took the reigns from the Anchorage School District in an effort to ensure long-term program sustainability for Community Schools.

For the past 30 years the Community Schools program has provided educational programming for all ages in the areas of academic enhancement, recreation, health and wellness, business and finance, home and garden, art and dance, and the use of technology applications. Last year alone, more than 45,000 local residents participated in over 800 Community School courses.

For more information about ACEA please call (907) 569-2232 or e-mail us at info@alaskacommunityschools.org.
