Camelot Castle Launches Karaoke Competition and National Talent Search

Camelot Castle joins forces with "Buddha" to locate up and coming talent.

(PRWEB) July 15, 2005 -- Thursday nights at Camelot Castle are Karaoke nights and this season sees the launch of the Camelot Castle Karaoke Talent Spotting Competition," open to anyone who is in Cornwall on a Thursday night. Entrants will be given a chance to compete against their peers and win a fabulous break in their singing career.

The Karaoke nights will be held at the Excalibar" at Camelot Castle every Thursday for the whole season. All ages are welcome and there will be a special prize for younger children (parents must accompany them).

The Camelot Karaoke nights will be run by a living legend in the Karaoke world, BUDDHA," who is known through out Cornwall and all Europe as the wise man and grandee of karaoke.

A prize for the most entertaining and for the best singer will be given out every Thursday along with runners up prizes.

As a special bonus the owner of Camelot Castle Mr. John Mappin who is active in the entertainment business in London and Hollywood has added a very exciting extra incentive.

The best singers and the winners of the overall season between now and the end of September will be invited to record their own single at Camelot Castle's state of the art London Music Studios with a top UK music producer all expenses paid for by Camelot Castle. After that the winners will be introduced to top record producers in London and will have an opportunity to be managed by Camelot Castle's Artist Management Company.

Tintagel has a magnetic pull for creative ability and talent. People get so inspired here. Some of the most talented young singers and performers come to Cornwall to enjoy the beautiful weather and the beaches here in the summer with their families so we wanted to see if we could locate some of the up an coming talent of the future. I love karaoke and many other people do too, so we thought that this would be a great way to have some fun at Camelot Castle and at the same time give people an opportunity to shine."

Said Mr. Mappin, We are hoping to get some of the big names in the music business to help us judge the final of the competition and I have already spoken to some of the biggest names in the UK music business who love the concept and want to help, I can't say who for right now but.... watch this space."

"Buddha" will start to turn the tables of destiny next Thursday 7.30pm sharp on stage at the Excalibar" Camelot Castle, Tintagel, Cornwall."
