Victorian Vanities Assists Museums to Attract More Visitors

Victorian Vanities, run by Victorian specialist Rochelle Christopher assists Museums through fund-raising teas, living history performances and freelance program development.

(PRWEB) July 21, 2005 -- Program Managers of local museums and Historical Societies are coming to Victorian Vanities for specialized Victorian programs they can use to promote their collections. Victorian Vanities specializes in making the Victorian era come alive for todays historians, costumers, and the general public.

The curator at the New Yorks Bronx Historical Society said of Victorian Vanities: I would like to thank you for making the Dickens event…both possible and a success." She had asked me to do a living history presentation honoring mystery writers at the Edgar Allen Poe Cottage during an international Dickens conference.

Victorian Vanities offers living history performances and fund-raising teas for your museum or historical society. You can choose the time period between 1600-1900 and I will come up with an interactive program of popular culture specially designed to engage your audience.

The website, http://www.victorianvanities.com allows you to see samples of my work in period costume and to read some of my past presentations. The website will also allow you to download my resume, get a brochure, and find out how to book me for a themed fund-raising tea. Curators can also buy semi-custom made period clothing at reasonable prices for their guides and docents.

Victorian Vanities can be booked with as little as three weeks advance notice for a tea or performance geared to your selected time period. The only exception to this is between Thanksgiving and Christmas. You will need to check the website, http://www.victorianvanities.com, for availability during this time.

Victorian Vanities is owned and operated by Victorian specialist Rochelle Christopher. She can be reached at 215-238-9330.
