Quirky Art of W. Doodle Featured at 2005 Boulder International Fringe Festival in Boulder

Described as "Peter Max colliding with Kandinsky," three (3) quirky works created by Colorado eccentric, reclusive, illustrator-artist W. Doodle will be among six (6) artists featured in Boulder's 2005 International Fringe Festival, August 17-28 at The Fringe Festival Gallery, 1909 Broadway, Boulder, CO. W. Doodle is presented, represented and licensed by Forest Rose Productions, LLC, Monument, CO.

Boulder, CO (PRWEB) August 27, 2005 -- Described as "Peter Max colliding with Kandinsky," W. Doodle's Whimsical Worlds transport the viewer into lighthearted abstract scenes filled with geometry, color, wonderfully composed spaces occupied by unfamiliar, otherworldly creatures. Each drawing represents a small segment of a much greater story to be completed or continued by the viewer. The works' titles denote the quizzical aire of whimsy created by W. Doodle, for example, "The Rastafarian Flute-Harpist Arrived Late," and yes, he's there, but what "he" is, is not exactly certain. For men who are addicted to their reflection, "A Beautiful Mind is Better than a Pretty Face" depicts a lesson on the vainness of a narcissist's vanity. Youngsters and oldsters, alike, chuckle as they ponder the story behind each Whimsical Doodle.

The 2005 Boulder Fringe Festival is an annual 12-day arts festival that will present over 300 events including live theatre, dance, circus art, media art, cinema, visual art, spoken word, puppetry, workshops and storytelling at venues throughout downtown Boulder. For information on schedules and tickets go to www.boulderfringe.com. or call the Fringe Fone at 720.563.9950.
