Canvas Artists Sponsors Mrs. Texas America 2005 Pageant

Online-based art firm Canvas Artists (canvasartists.com) recently sponsored the Mrs. Texas America 2005 pageant, which was held last June in Southlake, TX, in which Mrs. Jennifer Swick, was crowned as this year's Mrs. Texas.

Southlake, TX (PRWEB) September 7, 2005 -- Online-based art firm Canvas Artists (http://www.canvasartists.com) recently sponsored the Mrs. Texas America 2005 pageant, which was held last June in Southlake, TX, in which 29-year-old Mrs. Jennifer Swick, an attorney from Houston, TX, was crowned as this year's Mrs. Texas.

As part of the sponsorship package, Canvas Artists presented the outgoing Mrs. Texas 2004, Mrs. Jennifer Palmieri, with a 24" x 36" oil on canvas portrait, for her to cherish and remember her year as Mrs. Texas. The artwork was created by one of Canvas Artists' talented painters.

Canvas Artists is an art company with over one hundred and twenty artists that specialize in creating custom hand painted portraits from photographs. Some of the types of artworks created by this art company include oil on canvas, pencil sketches, watercolor paintings and pastel drawings. They can be created from just about any image submitted by their customers.

"We are very proud to sponsor the Mrs. Texas event," says Luis Veras, Canvas Artists' CEO. "A pageant of this level celebrates the outer and inner beauty of women, and what better way to celebrate beauty than with art." Canvas Artists is delighted to show the splendor of Mrs. Texas in an oil on canvas painting.

Mrs. Palmieri was thrilled to receive her oil portrait. This special gift was given to her at a farewell party, which was held in a private residence after the pageant.

The winner of this year's Texas State finals, Mrs. Jennifer Swick, will move on to compete at the Mrs. America 2005 competition, which will be held on September 7th in Palm Springs, CA. It will air on the Women's Entertainment Network on September 14th and again on the 17th. It will be hosted by actor John O'Hurley, better known as J. Peterman on the popular sitcom, "Seinfeld." Contestants from all 50 states will participate in Mrs. America 2005, and the winner will move on to participate in Mrs. World to be held next year.

Canvas Artists is delighted to have sponsored this year's Mrs. Texas America contest, and looks forward to supporting similar events in the future. Anyone who is interested in learning more about Canvas Artists should visit www.canvasartists.com or call, toll-free to 1.800.257.6159.
