(PRWEB) September 9, 2005 -- Larry Cutrone, known more for being a musician entertainer and screenplay writer, joined with The Wonderful World of Wildlife and has directed and narrated a segment on endangered and rare species.
The show was recently completed and is being made available to schools and organizations that are concerned about or have an interest in wildlife. Plans are underway for airing the show on cable TV and public broadcasting channels as well as distribution to public libraries.
The show focuses on a country Zoo in New Jersey called Space Farms and helps to inform viewers how vital Zoo's are in keeping animals alive in captivity. Much attention has been given in the past about the practice of keeping wild animals in a confined area. This program attempts to assure the viewers that this is not only beneficial, but is essential in the life of these vulnerable creatures.
Many species may have been completely eliminated had these Zoo's not provided a home and safe environment for them.
"When I was asked to be a part of the project I jumped at the chance," relates Larry Cutrone. "When I grew up Zoo's were mainly in big city areas and they were usually hard to get to." "There was the added sounds of the city all around the park." Around the 1950's Zoo's began to make their way into the suburbs and country providing a more pleasant atmosphere for both the animals and the public.
The goal of this video is to show that Zoo's are a necessary tool in the fight to keep some animals from extinction. A DVD is available for $30 through Valley Video & Entertainment Co. You can get contact information at: www.valleyvideoandentertainment.com or at www.larrycutrone.com.
