Tampa FL (PRWEB) September 24, 2005 -- Sponsors from all over Florida are hosting a 3 day Swing Dance Convention in Tampa Bay from Friday September 30, 2005 through Sunday October 2nd, 2005, featuring workshops with US and World's Lindy Hop Champions Kevin and Carla (http://kevinandcarla.com), and US and World's West Coast Swing Champion Danielle Blouin (http://swingdanceusa.com/event/wksps.htm).

Social dances will be hosted at 3 incredible venues beginning the Opening Premiere Dance Friday night at the Centro Asturiano in Tampa featuring Wayne Pearson's Swingin' Quintet. Saturday's live dance/concert performance is at the beautiful St. Pete Coliseum and performed by the internationally famous blues, jazz and swing sensation - Barbara Morrison from Los Angeles, California (http://barbaramorrison.com).
A 2005 Florida Swing Dance Competition will be held on Saturday between 6 and 8 pm. All ticket holders for the Saturday evening show will be admitted to see and help judge the Lindy Hop and West Coast Swing Championship. The festivities will begin at 6:00 pm with a free admission, open to the public, Meet and Greet at the Latam Restaurant downstairs in the Centro Asturiano. At 8:00 pm the dance will begin upstairs in the Centro Asturiano ballroom featuring Wayne Pearson's Swingin' Quintet. There will be a Circle Jam with dancers from around the World, giveaways and more!
