Newest Nashville Star, Chris Young, showed that he truly is a star even before he was officially announced as winner Tuesday night at the Wildhorse Saloon.
NASHVILLE, TN (PRWEB) May 6, 2006 -- Newest Nashville Star, Chris Young, showed that he truly is a star even before he was officially announced as winner Tuesday night at the Wildhorse Saloon. Thursday night, prior to his win, during some of his only free time in the last few weeks, he stopped at the Borders on West End, Nashville. He likes to read, so he thought he’d browse through the books. What he found was the Hippie Chick Twang Presents Concert Series going strong with Kim McLean, Devon O’Day, Eve Selis, Mark Elliott, Sonia Lee, Kimber Manning, Suzanne Randle, and Amanda Martin.
Considering that he was surely up to his ears in music at the time, it’s pretty remarkable that he just stood there at the back of the café, leaning up against the book racks relatively hidden under his baseball cap, listening. And not just for one or two songs, he stayed for the whole show. When he was recognized by Hippie Chick Twang co-founder Devon O’Day, he declined an onstage introduction and cameo, ever the humble artist, he wanted to show respect to the performing artists and just enjoy the music.
It’s nice to see one so comfortable in his own skin he can still appreciate other people’s music. It’s also nice to know that Chris young is not just a Nashville Star, but he’s a star as a human being as well. Hippie Chick Twang salutes Chris Young and lends support to all his endeavors as Nashville’s newest Star.
