Super Bowl XL "Rookie" in Big Money Game with Over 200 Seasoned Veterans

Super Bowl Sunday is less then two weeks away, and over 200 Michigan non-profits are well positioned to reap benefits of $8 million that the NFL expects will be raised through various Community Outreach Super Bowl Host Committee sanctioned events.

Sterling Heights, MI (PRWEB) January 24, 2006 -- With the Big game being held at Ford Field in Detroit Michigan, the Big money winners in Super Bowl XL will include 205 Michigan based non-profits.

Super Bowl Sunday is less then two weeks away, and over 200 Michigan non-profits are well positioned to reap the benefits of $8 million that the NFL expects will be raised through various Community Outreach Super Bowl Host Committee sanctioned charity events.

Volunteers are an Instrumental part of our program, and we are already preparing for launching Charity Music of Miami in time for Super Bowl XLI in 2007
The starting non-profit line up consists of worthy veterans such as: American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Boy Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, and United Way of Southeastern Michigan.

And the "Rookie" non-profit of the year is Charity Music of Michigan. "We are grateful just to get in the game" stated Charity Music President Roger Fachini. "Our all volunteer organization has worked diligently this past year to achieve 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity status, granted us in early January, and we would like some additional Super Bowl events to participate in"

The mission of Charity Music is to provide Musical Instruments on loan, at no charge, to at risk youth wishing to explore their hidden musical talents.

The first pilot Musical Instrument Donation Drive was tested in 1996 as a fundraiser for the Macomb Symphony Orchestra in Clinton Township Michigan. While the program was well received, the request for instruments far exceeded the donations, and the program was suspended.

From 1997 through 2005 several prominent Michigan businessman have anonymously carried on the tradition of supplying Musical Instruments to the needy. The program has evolved into Charity Music Inc. with volunteers in over 24 states, and plans for continued expansion.

"We do not sell any of the donated instruments" stated Treasurer, Dennis Lietz, "instruments are used in the instrument loan program, or placed in our Vintage Musical Instrument Exhibit". The Instrument Exhibit (aka ICE) is available at no charge, for use by organizations that wish to display the instruments to the general public. "We are always in need of any and all instruments, regardless of age or condition" added Lietz.

To cover operating expenses, the Charity Music EBay Store sells donated music related collectibles, and also donated concert, theatre, and sporting event tickets. Anyone wishing to donate, or help sponsor a Super Bowl XL Charity Music event is asked to call Charity Music at 586-808-7445, and visit their website www.CharityMusic.org

"Volunteers are an Instrumental part of our program, and we are already preparing for launching Charity Music of Miami in time for Super Bowl XLI in 2007," added Fachini.
