San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 9, 2006 -- On October 14, 2006, one year after the reopening of the de Young museum, visitors to Golden Gate Park will have a chance to explore work by 15 of San Francisco’s most prominent artists. The Artists’ Guild of San Francisco is pleased to augment the de Young’s anniversary celebrations with an art show in the newly revitalized Music Concourse, featuring painting, sculpture and a variety of other contemporary media. www.artistsguildsf.com
The show, which will run from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, will include work by a variety of local artists:
- Abstract painter Dimitri Kourouniotis, a native of Greece whose lyrical interpretations of clouds, horses and sheer color have earned him gallery representation across the United States and over 15 solo exhibitions throughout the West Coast - www.dolmas.com
- Michael Rodman - paints the colors of San Francisco's streets and neighborhoods - www.rodmanart.com
If the line for the de Young’s free Community Day is a bit too long, enjoy some rare San Francisco sunshine and discover the next generation of contemporary artists -- before their work moves into the museum.
