Auto Service and Maintenance Tool Launches Consumer Site

Servassist Online expands with free consumer vehicle resource.

TROY, MI (PRWEB) October 10, 2006 -- Servassist Online (www.servassistonline.com), the automotive service and maintenance resource, announced today that it has launched a comprehensive reference site for consumers. Servassist Online for Consumers will provide free, up-to-date information on every aspect of consumer car care.

The property includes original articles on typical automotive services, a discussion forum, a daily Web log, and over 2,500 pages of brand- and model-specific online service schedules. The objective of the site and its related features is to arm consumers with a better understanding of automotive service and maintenance to help ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of their vehicles.

"This is a good first-stop for consumers who are in need of auto service or repair," says Grant W. Repsher, founder of Servassist Online. "Our goal is to help people educate themselves prior to visiting the body shop or dealership service department, to give them a better sense of what to expect about what can sometimes be a frustrating experience."

Launched in 2005, Servassist was initially designed to improve the level of trust between service advisors and consumers by illustrating proposed service and repairs in a familiar online format. While the expanded Servassist site is targeted to consumers, it will continue to offer numerous dealer customer relationship and retention tools.

One of the core offerings that will benefit both dealerships and consumers is the Local Coupons tool. For a fee, dealerships will be able to create and post coupons for maintenance and repair services, which will be searchable and printable by consumers seeking special offers in their region.

The creation of all content for Servassist Online for Consumers will be headed by Repsher, a writer with Automotive News and former contributing editor with The American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA). All content and related features will be housed at www.servassistonline.com.
