Benson, AZ (PRWEB) October 16, 2006 -– Motorcycle riders who support a tougher stance on illegal immigration are invited to participate in a free, escorted, 100-mile “Brotherhood of the Border” motorcycle run to secure the border 9 a.m., Oct. 22nd that begins at the Southern Arizona Biker Rodeo, Big Boys Arena Bar, 250 N. Prickly Pear Ave., in Benson, Arizona and ends at Helldorado Days in Tombstone. Sign in is 6 to 9 a.m., speeches at 9 a.m. and the ride begins promptly at 9:30 a.m.

The ride, sponsored by the American Freedom Riders Brotherhood of the Border, is endorsed by various congressman and anti-illegal immigration groups, as well as the Border Patrol Union Local 2544. Members of the patrol will also participate in the ride. Prior to the run, MCEE Congressional candidate Randy Graf will introduce nationally known speakers including: Jim Gilchrist - Minuteman Project Founder; T.J. Bonner - National Border Patrol Union President, Andy Ramirez - Friends of the Border Patrol Founder; Yeh Ling-Ling - well known author and academic, and supporter and activist, Cindy Kolb.

“The purpose of this ride is for men and women to combine the passion of riding the open roads with the urgent need to inform politicians at all levels that we will no longer stand by while the integrity and sovereignty of our nation is compromised by the adverse social and economic effects of illegal immigration,” said Danny Smith, who, along with Rusty Childress, formed the American Freedom Riders. “We demand that all elected officials uphold their oath of office and legislate in the best interest of the legal citizens of our state and our country.”

The scenic ride will be filmed via an airplane, as well as on the ground. The live cybercast of some anticipated 1,000 motorcyclists will also be a part of a film documentary in support of Friends of the Border Patrol www.criesfromtheborder.net/filmaker.html.

Participants in the America Freedom Riders Brotherhood of the Border are also encouraged to attend a panel discussion with prominent experts in immigration law and enforcement, Saturday, Oct. 21st from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Windemere Hotel, 2047 S. Highway 92 in Sierra Vista, AZ. The event is open to the public. The cost is $30 and includes lunch and a tour of the border at Douglas, Arizona and Naco, Mexico, where participants can view, first hand, where more than 500,000 illegal aliens were apprehended in 2006.
