Doc’s Sports to Release Big Ten Game of the Year – The Game That Has America Talking

Coming off of big wins with their Underdog Game of the Year and their Revenge Game of the Year, Doc’s Sports is set to release their strongest game of the season – the Big Ten Game of the Year – this Saturday, Oct. 21. This game helped the sports information and handicapping company, which is in its 36th year in business, become a worldwide phenomenon as the Game of the Year cashed for bettors an unprecedented 19 years in a row, even moving the betting line in Las Vegas more than seven points one year.

(PRWEB) October 20, 2006 -- Coming off of big wins with their Underdog Game of the Year and their Revenge Game of the Year, Doc’s Sports is set to release their strongest game of the season – the Big Ten Game of the Year – this Saturday, Oct. 21. This game helped the sports information and handicapping company, which is in its 36th year in business, become a worldwide phenomenon as the Game of the Year cashed for bettors an unprecedented 19 years in a row, even moving the betting line in Las Vegas more than seven points one year.

“At the height of the streak it was pure pandemonium,” said Doc Moseman, owner and founder of Doc’s Sports. “Subscribers would wait for the pick on Saturday morning in Las Vegas and after they would get the phone selection they would yell it out to the crowd in the parking lot and there would be a mad rush to the betting window. Once the word got out, there was nothing the oddsmakers could do but keep moving the line.”

Subscribers would wait for the pick on Saturday morning in Las Vegas and after they would get the phone selection they would yell it out to the crowd in the parking lot and there would be a mad rush to the betting window. Once the word got out, there was nothing the oddsmakers could do but keep moving the line.
This year’s selection – along with all of Doc’s expert college football and NFL picks – are available for only $49 (down from the normal weekly price of $99).

Doc’s started the company in 1971 with one phone line and big dreams. Thanks in part to the Big Ten Game of the Year and endless dedicated hours pouring over lines and statistics, Doc’s has stood the test of time and remains one of the most well known companies in the thriving sports handicapping business.

“We have always taken a low-key approach, and that is the reason I think that we have been so successful over the years,” added Moseman. “We are always honest and tell the customer that there are no sure things. Although we give them the best chance to win, there are always unforeseen things that can happen. In all our years in business, we have never made an unsolicited outgoing phone call. If you work hard and do a good job, the customers will always be there. My father used to say, ‘If you have the best soup in town, people will find it’.”

Doc’s has been releasing their Big Ten Game of the Year since 1972 and it is their strongest play of the year in any sport (Doc’s releases expert picks in college and pro football and basketball along with MLB and NHL selections, among others). Doc’s picks this game according to a variety of intangibles, which include many motivational factors.

“I had a scout at one of the Big Ten schools give me some exclusive information this week, and that’s why I decided to pull the trigger on the big game,” commented Moseman. “I look for this team’s defense to totally dominate. This Big Ten team we are going against is not near the team it was in the past and a shutout would not surprise me.”

Therefore, this is quite possibly one of the strongest Big Ten Game of the Year that Doc’s has ever released.

Doc’s Sports has been in business since 1971 and it has established itself as one of the leaders in the sports information industry. Industry luminaries from Nevada to Costa Rica continue to praise Doc’s team for its hard work and strong moral fiber. Doc’s Web site provides daily exclusive sports betting content, odds, match-up reports and much more.
