Singer-Songwriter/Actor Terron Brooks Releases Inspirational Pop Album
Terron Brooks' EP, Prelude, will be available worldwide as an exclusive digital release starting November 7, 2006.
Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) November 7, 2006 -- GoDigital Records today announced the release of Prelude, the third record from multi-talented singer-songwriter/actor Terron Brooks. The five-track Inspirational Pop EP is available through digital retailers such as iTunes, Rhapsody, eMusic, as well as the GoDigital Music Store.
Prelude is Brooks' first digital release, and will enable a whole new audience to discover the music that has captivated so many before them. Brooks' infectious energy and positive message can be felt from the very first track, titled "Down." The record is comprised of several popular tracks from Life Story as well as two brand-new songs.
"I'm really excited about this release," said Brooks. "I've been performing for years, but this record is just beginning for me as an artist. There's a lot of good stuff on the horizon and this is just a taste of what's to come."
To celebrate the release of his EP, Brooks will perform tonight at the Genghis Cohen in Hollywood starting at 8PM.
Brooks has performed alongside a range of legendary artists from Stephanie Mills to Stevie Wonder. His singer-songwriter credits include contributions on soundtracks for Tears from the Sun (Sony), the Adventures of Brer Rabbit (Universal) and ABC's Geppetto. Brooks' previous two albums, Alive and Life Story sold thousands of copies at merchandise tables in theatrical venues.
As an actor, Brooks is a two-time NAACP Award nominee for supporting actor and is best known for his critically acclaimed portrayal of Eddie Kendricks in the Emmy Award winning NBC mini-series The Temptations. Brooks is also recognized for his leading role in the romantic comedy All About You, a film for which Brooks co-wrote the theme and contributed songs for the movie's soundtrack. Theatrically, Brooks is equally accomplished and has appeared on the Broadway stage as "Simba" in Disney's The Lion King and as "Seaweed" in Hairspray.
