Public Art $100 Million Challenge: Online Public Art Catalog Aims To Get People Active in Public Art & Architecture

The Public Art Registry aims to receive 100 donations of $1 Million between Dec. 1, 2006 and March 10, 2007 to found the Trust.

(PRWEB) November 26, 2006 -- Public Art Registry is the first and only on-line catalog of global public art and architecture using its online public art catalog, CommunityWalk, and other websites in concert to get people out and active in public art and architecture.

The Public Art Registry Endowment Trust aims to receive 100 donations of $1 Million in 100 Days to found the Trust and provide a perpetual stream of income to achieve the Public Art Registry's major missions:

Mission One: Growing and maintaining the Public Art Registry and the on-line catalog in accordance with its mission statement and philosophies.

Mission Two: Providing grants, bursaries, and academic scholarships to creators, students, educators and others to assist them to achieve their public art and architectural goals.

We believe that a user driven catalogue of public art and architecture from around the world will enhance the lives of the people of our planet through enjoyment, education and knowledge of our diverse Arts and Cultures.

We believe that working with and encouraging those interested in the pursuit of public art and architecture, by academic means or through creative practice or by way of community outreach and participation, will greatly assist and advance this process.

We hope to affect people's lives in one or more of the following ways:

• inspiring, stimulating and exciting the senses.
• providing strength and hope to those living through adversity.
• creating or creating opportunities for life enhancing change.
• valuing the diversity of people and building equality for all.
• encouraging fun, play and quiet enjoyment of life.

When fully funded the Endowment Trust will enable annual disbursements of around five million dollars for projects around the globe.
