Reel Logix, Inc Captures Attention in Entertainment and Recreation Industries in 2006

Reel Logix, Inc announced that 2006 revenue growth within the entertainment and recreation market was not only due to increased orders for The Reel Production Calendar, designed specifically for film and television production scheduling, but also the result of increased adoption of The Calendar Planner by many organizations, primarily on the recreation side of the industry.

Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) December 23, 2006 -- Reel Logix, Inc announced that 2006 revenue growth within the entertainment and recreation market was not only due to increased orders for The Reel Production Calendar, designed specifically for film and television production scheduling, but also the result of increased adoption of The Calendar Planner by many organizations, primarily on the recreation side of the industry.

With features developed for film and television production, such as integration with industry standard software like Movie Magic Scheduling, The Reel Production Calendar, launched in 2002, has grown to be a favorite among both freelance and studio production personnel. Additionally, during 2006, The Calendar Planner proved a valuable asset for numerous entertainment and recreation organizations such as the Majestic Theatre in Detroit, NASCAR teams in North Carolina and music labels like Fearless Records in California, for whom event delivery, planning and scheduling is just as important as it would be in film production.

One such user, who is outside of the film or television market, is Barbara House, Senior Producer at Sony Entertainment, who used the calendar software in 2006 to manage video game development for the popular Sony PlayStation product. House states, "With The Calendar Planner, I finally have all the powerful features needed to track complex video game production schedules as well as the ability to communicate clearly to everyone involved in the project -- all in an intuitive, easy-to-use interface."

Reel Logix CEO, Randy McGowan, stated that although the company started seeing a strong demand for a non film production version early on, it wasn't until 2006 that they were able to really support the needs of these other types of organizations managing entertainment related schedules and projects in the wider market beyond traditional Film and Television scheduling. "Growth of the market for The Calendar Planner within Entertainment really exceeded all our expectations in 2006," said McGowan.

The company has new features and enhancements scheduled for both products in early 2007 that are based on requests from their growing and diversifying client list.
