Racefanonline.com had a successful launch in September 2005 and the excitement for the 2006 season is huge. Racefanonline.com has spent the off-season re-designing the web site to incorporate the suggestions made by the sites loyal fans.
The main goals for the re-design were to create a fun and competitive environment and a fast and easy user experience. To these ends, racefanonline.com has created a proprietary scoring system (RFO Score) to track the most popular submissions. The RFO Scores are updated in real-time so the submitters can watch their submission scores rise. Also, the redesigned site incorporates text-based links to pictures, videos and stories. These text-based links have made the web site significantly faster. In addition, related thumbnail pictures are displayed under the featured image and also in the popup window when a picture is selected. The thumbnails allow the users to view 5 pictures at once. Lastly, we have added hotlinks on the left side margin. The hotlinks are a way to share favorite fan related sites with everyone. These new features are a great step in the right direction.
Racefanonline.com thanks all race fans for supporting the web site and looks forward to sharing race experiences for many years to come.
