PokerLoco.com: New Swedish Poker Site Challenges the Swedish Monopoly--Gives 15 Percent of Revenues to Swedish Sports

The Swedish poker market is still far from maturing. It will continue to grow with another 10-15 percent per month the coming years, says Stefan Mahlstein, former CEO at B2B Poker. For this reason he has launched PokerLoco in Sweden, a poker site that offers both entertaining and safe gambling. Furthermore he challenges Svenska Spel, the Swedish gambling monopoly, by giving 15 per cent of the revenue to the football clubs in the Premier-Division.

(PRWEB) March 16, 2006 -- http://www.PokerLoco.com/sv/ will continuously sponsor Swedish sports associations and their main supporter clubs during 2006. 15 per cent of the net revenue from the Swedish market will be given to Swedish sports. The sponsoring does not require any undertakings at all from the sponsored associations.

The Swedish sports associations do a great job working with young people in Sweden. It is therefore important that everybody who can really does contribute to the different sports associations. PokerLoco has chosen to sponsor team sports since it teaches the importance of cooperation, says Stefan Mahlstein.

To begin with PokerLoco will sponsor the football clubs in the Premier-Division and their main supporter clubs. Starting from March 1, AIK, Djurgården, Elfsborg, GAIS, Gefle, Helsingborg, Halmstad, Hammarby, Häcken, IFK Göteborg, Kalmar FF, Malmö FF, Örgryte och Öster will be sponsored. Later this year other team sports, such as ice hockey, bandy, handball and basketball will also be included in the sponsorship.

PokerLoco wants to show that privately owned gambling companies really can be a serious alternative to the Swedish state monopoly. So far there has only been a lot of talking about private companies contributing to society. PokerLoco acts. Stefan Mahlstein continues.

PokerLoco Nordic S.A. offers online poker via the site http://www.pokerloco.com/sv. PokerLoco is a secure and entertaining option for anyone interested in playing online poker. PokerLoco Nordic S.A. is a subsidiary to the Swedish and British owned company Homerun Gaming Ventures Ltd.
