Sundance Vacations Signs Full Year Associate Sponsorship with NASCAR Nextel Cup Race Team, McGlynn Racing
Sundance Vacations will be the full year associate sponsor for McGlynn Racing. Sundance will sponsor the Nascar Nextel Cup car driven by Derrike Cope.
Wilkes Barre, PA (PRWEB) March 20, 2006 -- Sundance Vacations reached a full season agreement with McGlynn Racing to sponsor the Derrike Cope driven NASCAR Nextel Cup Dodge for the remaining races of the 2006 race season.
“We have all been working pretty feverishly over the past few weeks to finish this deal,” recalls Tina Dowd. “We signed a primary sponsorship for the races in our major markets before going to Daytona, while we continued to work on the full season associate sponsorship. NASCAR’s rule to guarantee spots to the top 35 teams in the points makes it hard for small teams, like McGlynn racing, to get in the race each week.
"The competition is fierce for those final few starting spots,” continues the Sundance Vacations executive. “Proceeding with a full season sponsorship illustrates the confidence we have in Derrike Cope, the McGlynn race team and the loyalty of the NASCAR fan base.”
The Sundance Vacations’ marketing campaign is centered on the company’s Ultimate Sports Giveaway. The winner of the sweepstakes will receive 6 tickets to the sports event of their choice including the Daytona 500.
The winner will also receive private jet transportation for 6 people, luxury hotel accommodations, limousine transportation and a VIP reception. NASCAR fans will get the special opportunity to join the pit crew of the #74 Derrike Cope Dodge. “Our association with the race team gives us the opportunity to offer the winning fan a chance of a lifetime. Sundance Vacations joins My Guardian 911 and Royal Administration on the #74 Dodge. Although, My Guardian 911 is the primary sponsor for most races, the national wholesale travel company will take the primary sponsor position for the Neighborhood Excellence 400 presented by Bank of America at Dover International Speedway, the Pocono 500 at Pocono International Speedway and the USG Sheetrock 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.
