Performers Academy, Brent Huff, Directs Feature, “Welcome To Paradise”

Performers Academy Acting Coach, Brent Huff bring OC Students & Families to the Set of Welcome to Paradise.

(PRWEB) March 21, 2006 -- Orange County’s The Performers Academy is excited to announce that staff member, Brent Huff is directing a feature for Out of Pocket Films, entitled “Welcome to Paradise”.

This feature stars Chrystal Bernard (Wings), Brian Dennehy (Cocoon), Nick Searcy (Cast Away, Rodney) Ken Jenkins (Scrubs) and teen heartthrob, Bobby Edner (Spy Kids 3-D).

you can’t do anything wrong on this film. It just all came together and there’s a reason for that
This film allowed the students and parents of The Performers Academy to participate by being on set and cast and background players. This was a tremendous experience for the students here at The Performers Academy, says Natalie Costa, owner.

“They got to watch close up and person the makings of a real feature film. They were featured in the choir, they were placed in the classrooms, they were visible in every aspect of this movie. Every close up and wide shot contains students and family members of this school.”

“This had to be one of the nicest and most professional crews ever, “says Tina Green, mother of D’Arcy both whom participate in the shoot.

Producer Pat Stack kept the students amused and informed throughout the shoot. He brought star Crystal Bernard into the studio specifically to meet everyone. She talked and joked around with everyone for quite some time. She related her experiences in the acting profession, her experiences making this film and the strong convictions of her faith which led her to this role.

Casting Director, Christine Sheaks ("Boogie Nights, "Scary Movie") came in to visit and spent close to an hour discussing the business, answering questions and giving everyone advice on pursuing their careers and the inner-workings of the business. She commented on how fortunate they all were to be involved with the school who has agents on site weekly and an amazing acting coach like Brent Huff.

Sitting in the background video taping the day’s shoot was Natalie Costa, owner of the academy. She presented every student and family member a DVD recording of the filming as a keepsake.

“It was rather emotional watching this shoot. This is probably the only school in Orange County who has such amazing teachers -- teachers like Brent Huff, who drive from Los Angeles to Orange County to teach students. He’s a real film director, a real actor – with a real resume and contacts in this business.    He took the time to include his students and this school in his project and everyone benefits immensely from this kind of experience. From the staff, the crew, to the stars of this film – the entire experience was beyond words. Over 200 students participated and they still can't stop talking about it".

Crystal Bernard agrees. She said, “you can’t do anything wrong on this film. It just all came together and there’s a reason for that”. Crystal plays a preacher from a small town in Texas that has meets with resistance being a female in a predominately male profession.

The Performer’s Academy is located in Laguna Hills (Woods), California. It is a school of the arts that has a staff of film directors and working actors teaching students. The prices range from $50 to $150 per month for acting classes (depending on age and format) and hosts baby ballet classes for $5.00 per class.

This school is all about quality and integrity and providing amazing customer service and follow-up, coupled with extremely affordable pricing.
