Orange County Musical Theatre Summer Camp Enrolling Now

Weekly summer camps offered in Musical Theatre & OC Idol Pop Performance Camp.

Orange County, CA (PRWEB) April 20, 2006 -- The Performer’s Academy, located in Laguna Hills, is now enrolling campers for the 2006 summer season, with two distinctive camps to choose from.

Musical Theatre Summer Camp allows campers of all ages to take part in choosing, casting, and producing a musical – all in one week.

Last year we had children come as far away as Dubai and spent the entire summer with us,
Camps need no experience. Just a desire to have fun, sing, dance, and perform.

Camp starts off with early morning drop-off at 8:30 AM – complete with complimentary breakfast of muffins, bagels, & juice. Then the fun begins…warm up games, stretching exercises and then…ready for production.

Camps can choose from a wide selection of musicals…such as the 50’s hit – Greased, Hard Knock Life, Honk, and so much more. They will cast and block the musical, learn the lines, choreography and songs. On Friday evening, there is a performance for family and friends. All campers will be provided with a DVD of the week's activities including the end of week performance as a keepsake of their week.

This camp allows children with absolutely no experience the opportunity to perform and star in a very amazing production. Complete with costumes, DVD video given to campers as a gift – compete this week.

“Last year we had children come as far away as Dubai and spent the entire summer with us, “ says Natalie Costa, owner of the Performer’s Academy. “The camp was such a hit that the following Monday morning, there would be campers in the lobby with their parents asking if there was room to do it again. This year, we have had campers enroll from Belgium, Ohio and Australia!”

This year’s staff is incredible. David A. Blair will head up the theatre department along with Brittney Peltier. These are two life long musical theatre aficionados who have performed and produced just about every musical ever written. Vocal coach Beverly Bremers will be on had for voice lessons, hip hop sensation Ali will be on staff for choreography, and custom made costumes will be provided for the final performance.

Early enrollment is recommended. Call the studio at
949-609-1600 to book or enroll from the website under the camp heading.
