Albany based eWired Auctions, LLC has signed a two year exclusive contract with New York City based company BenefitEvents to sell and market a patent pending proprietary online auction fundraising application.

The technology, which utilizes handheld PDA’s for the purpose of seamlessly running wireless silent auctions at charity fundraisers is the brainchild of BenefitEvents President James Wintner, a veteran in the custom online auction fundraising business for nearly a decade.

eWired Auctions will have an exclusive right to market and sell the wireless solution in the Capital Region. “I decided to tap eWired Auctions as an exclusive partner because I believe they are strategically positioned to offer the fundraising service and product locally,” said Mr. Wintner. “eWired’s founder, Brian Selchick, is an innovative, aggressive and client focused fundraiser. New York State is home to over 92,000 not-for-profit organizations, with 1,500 of them based in Captial Region. BenefitEvents and eWired Auctions will be charging an initial setup to cover wireless connectivity, hardware and staffing costs, and 5% of the auction proceeds from each event.
