'Awesome' Buzz Seen for The Dollyrots on Warped Tour
Acclaimed pop punksters The Dollyrots will hit the road this summer with the Vans Warped Tour starting June 21 in Nashville where they will preview new album, “Because I’m Awesome.”
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 6, 2006 -– Acclaimed pop punksters The Dollyrots will hit the road this summer with the Vans Warped Tour starting June 21 in Nashville. The trio will join the fabled Warped cavalcade with a serious buzz generated by network TV and radio exposure as well as rave reviews for the album “Eat My Heart Out.”
The Dollyrots will also be performing songs from the highly-anticipated new CD, “Because I’m Awesome,” considered their best effort yet. The female-fronted group is putting final touches on the album, which is expected to drop this Fall, though the band may hand out some sneak previews during some of their Warped Tour sets. The defiant and empowering title track, “Because I’m Awesome,” seems destined to become a signature song for the group, as well as a catch phrase among their fans.
Regarded as one of the best indie bands in Los Angeles, The Dollyrots may not have that distinction for long as major label action appears imminent.

The group, consisting of Kelly, Luis and Amy, proved they were ready for primetime as they acted as well as performed on a recent episode of CBS-TVs top-rated “CSI: New York.” They are also seen performing their song “Feed Me, Pet Me” on a national Hewlett-Packard commercial and have appeared on several TV talk shows. Furthermore, they are getting airplay on stations including influential KROQ, Indie 103.1 and KXLU 88.9.
