N-Spire Motorcycle Apparel Creating Style for Female Motorcyclist

N-Spire Motorcycle Apparel designs and manufacturers riding apparel for female motorcycle enthusiasts. Owned and operated by two women with over 20 years of riding experience.

Waldorf, MD (PRWEB) June 8, 2006 -- N-Spire Motorcycle Apparel designs and manufacturers apparel for female motorcycle enthusiasts. The company is owned and operated by Vanessa Jones and Tonya Richardson who were “inspired” to provide riding gear for female motorcyclists two years ago. Vanessa and Tonya have over 20 years of motorcycle riding experience between them.

When Vanessa relocated from Seattle, WA to Maryland in 2004, she discussed her vision of starting a clothing line for women motorcycle enthusiasts with Tonya, a fellow motorcyclist. Tonya got excited about the idea and the two launched on a course of action that created N-Spire Motorcycle Apparel in the fall of 2004. Vanessa and Tonya brainstormed ideas for designs, located manufacturers and investigated start-up costs. The two self-financed the design and manufacturing costs, and their first delivery of jackets arrived in December 2005. Within a month of their grand opening, calls and emails began to pour in from women asking about N-Spire’s jackets and when more apparel and accessories would be available.

Today, approximately one-third of motorcycle enthusiasts are women and the numbers keep growing. N-Spire specializes in women apparel because of the limited selections of motorcycle wear for the female rider.
N-Spire designs motorcycle apparel with all the needed safety features, but tailored to fit the female frame and in colors women can get excited about wearing. “Women still want to look like women on their motorcycles,” say Vanessa and Tonya, “We still want to look cute and sexy.” Vanessa and Tonya spoke with many female riders during the process of creating their first design and found that women want riding apparel that compliments them and makes a fashion statement but does not comprise safety

N-Spire is receiving a great deal of support from the female motorcycle club community, independent female riders and from male riders who say their wives and female club members give them grief about obtaining feminine riding gear for them to wear. Whether the woman is a back seat rider or has her own motorcycle, she wants female-looking riding gear.

N-Spire enjoys creating designs and factors in the feedback solicited from women riders via its Website and surveys. N-Spire’s styles/designs are made to appeal to both the sport and touring bike women riders. These entrepreneurs say that there is a simple way of determining what people want and need -- ask them.
