New Community site Launched at Acousticfriends.com, The Social Space for Acoustic Music

acousticfriends.com was developed to provide a social network for acoustic music fans, acoustic musicians and others interested in Americana, Bluegrass, Folk, Irish/Celtic, Old-Timey Stringband and the music of Singer-Songwriters.

Casper, WY (PRWEB) June 17, 2006 –- acousticfriends.com, LLC, has launched a niche and focused online community site called www.acousticfriends.com, “The Social Space for Acoustic Music”.

acousticfriends.com was developed to provide a social network for acoustic music fans, acoustic musicians and others interested in Americana, Bluegrass, Folk, Irish/Celtic, Old-Timey Stringband and the music of Singer-Songwriters.

The Social Space for Acoustic Music
Stephen D. Weih, creator of the site, believes that people interested in these music genres would be more comfortable going to a place where there are others with likeminded interests, instead of having to wade through the generic social network and dating site profile warehouses to find them.

acousticfriends.com will enable established and aspiring acoustic musicians and bands to be seen and heard by posting their music, video and upcoming performance information, increasing their fan base.

Members of the site, which is free to join, can find and interact with others to jam with, form a new band, give music lessons, exchange songs, share a ride to concerts and festivals to offset fuel costs, blog and to just simply chat, to name a few of the features.

Interaction between members will be enhanced by utilizing Userplane’s Webmessenger, Webchat and Webrecorder features.

“There are a lot of fans and musicians alike that are into the genres represented on the site from around the world that would otherwise never be able to interact with each other, one of our goals is to bring them together”, says Weih.
