(PRWEB) July 2, 2006 -- This summer the Paradox Gallery of New York art is proud to host renowned Israeli photographer Limor Pereg with her unique exhibition of world sights. This unique installation by Pereg, titled World Insights in Sights is a work that illuminates the complexity of our generation as it is emphasizes the differences of cultures and civilizations world wide.

Limor Pereg has gone further with her career and traveled to unique places to capture the true and authentic vibe of our world. As she puts it into words: “I have created an environment of images which are trapped and frozen in time.” Visitors will be able to navigate around Pereg’s true environment of real foreign experiences -- from Wall Street economy specialists to long lost wonderer in a deserted part of India.

I have created an environment of images which are trapped and frozen in time.
“I truly hope that experiencing my sights will inspire new world insights.”

Limor Pereg, from a very young age, always pursued the arts. With a camera slung around her neck and an isle nearby, she discovered her passion for photography and painting when she would explore her neighborhood taking pictures of houses and people. Creating a portfolio at the age of 15, Limor earned entrance into a very prestigious arts high school in Israel, from which she graduated with top honors. Her senior project included both photographs and paintings which were inspired by the old houses of her neighborhood.

By the time of graduation from Ironi-Aleph high school in Tel-Aviv in 1995, Limor enrolled in the Israeli army. She worked as one of the chef photographers for Israeli intelligence. Her position earned her name recognition within the Israeli government for her outstanding photography. In 2000 she was commissioned by the government to paint her most famous piece to date -- a portrait of Pope John Paul II.

In more recent years, Limor has traveled the globe for both her photography and paintings. She has been hired by a number of organizations to do work specifically for their causes. In 2006, she commenced a trip to Mexico, where she was photographing both the people and the architecture for her upcoming exhibitions.

She is currently starting what will be an endeavor covering several years to photograph some of the larger cities in the United States, starting with New York, DC, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Once completed, this exhibit will highlight both the differences and the similarities of these major cities, defining “American culture.”
