The recognition is a result of the responses received from an electronic survey sent to most of the company’s Colorado-based associates in April. The Best Companies initiative honors Colorado companies that show dedication to their employees’ growth and quality of life. Finalists promote the best employment opportunities that both attract new workers and promote their retention.

The recognition is a result of the responses received from an electronic survey sent to most of the company’s Colorado-based associates in April. The Best Companies initiative honors Colorado companies that show dedication to their employees’ growth and quality of life. Finalists promote the best employment opportunities that both attract new workers and promote their retention.

Basic survey results have been shared with all associates through Baxa Corporation’s bi-weekly newsletter. The SHRM Colorado State Council announced the finalists for the Best Companies designation in June. However, the rankings for the 2006 Best Companies to Work for in Colorado won’t be released until the SHRM awards luncheon on August 3, 2006 at the Westin Hotel in Westminster. 9News Business News Reporter Gregg Moss will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies.
The competition recognizes participants in two different categories: medium-sized (25-199 employees) and large-sized (200 employees or more). Privately held Baxa Corporation, with more than 350 employees, was selected in the large-sized employer’s category. All ranking companies were evaluated and chosen by the Best Companies Group for the long-term benefits their participation brings to Colorado.
