Patriotic Singer Cheryl Peach Praises the Dixie Chicks
Army veteran and patriotic singer Cheryl Peach praises the Dixie Chicks for sticking to their guns.
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) August 22, 2006 -- Frequently asked for her opinion about the Dixie Chicks, Army veteran and patriotic singer Cheryl Peach has an unexpected response. “When I joined the Army, I swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States, like everyone in our armed forces. This includes the freedom of speech”, Cheryl Peach comments. “Although I don’t share some of their opinions, the Dixie Chicks have earned my respect by sticking to their guns”.
Natalie Maines made what many people feel were unpatriotic comments in London about President George W. Bush on the eve of the Iraq conflict. The Dixie Chicks remain defiant in songs on their newest CD, Taking the Long Way.
Cheryl Peach remarks,“Fair-minded folks would agree that the new CD by the Dixie Chicks is well-crafted and masterfully recorded. Maybe it’s time for all of us to reflect upon the Lord’s Prayer. Let’s all forgive one another”.
