Germany’s WWII Surrender Message to the World –- Only one of its Kind Up for Auction
This is not a one of a kind baseball card. It is not a misprinted or unique piece of currency. It is not a representation or remnant of a famous star, performer, Politician or athlete. This piece of actual living history is the first documentation that the war in Europe had ended. This could very well be the last will and testament to the greatest generation of Americans. This is a tribute to all of the people who fought so valiantly to defeat the Nazi war machine.
Minneapolis, MM (PRWEB) August 25, 2006 -- The VERY moment when Germany had just unconditionally surrendered, the confirmation of that historic moment was immediately forwarded from the European theater of war to the Pentagon–Military Intelligence Division. The method of transfer during this historic moment in time was by ticker tape. The very first transmission, an approximate six inch by two inch section of tape signified the end of the European War which Germany had started.
This ticker tape, THE only one in the world, is now for sale on eBay. Moments after the tape arrived at the Pentagon the Generals were notified and then the President of the United States was subsequently contacted and given the information. This information was so sensitive that the public was not given this history changing news until approximately one week later.
