Santa's Quarters Announces New Artificial Christmas Tree Designs for 2006

Santa's Quarters announces new developments in artificial Christmas tree materials and styles. All you need to know to make the best choice this holiday season.

New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) September 8, 2006 -- Santa's Quarters announces new designs and styles in artificial Christmas trees available this holiday season.

There are a great number of artificial Christmas trees on the market today: pre-lit, unlit, PVC, molded tips, white, flocked, and more. Making a good choice in purchasing an artificial tree can be difficult, and all but impossible without good information. Below you’ll find information about the available selection in 2006, enabling you to make the perfect choice this holiday season.

What’s New
Over the last few years the latest development in artificial Christmas trees has been in material and design. The great majority of trees manufactured in the past have needles made from PVC (poly-vinyl-chloride). Compressed sheets are sliced into shreds, creating the needles that are then attached to the branches of the tree. More recently, a new breed of artificial Christmas trees with molded tips made from PE (poly-ethylene) has appeared on the market. The needles on these molded tip trees are made in a mold created from their real counterparts, resulting in a far more realistic appearance. Although high quality PVC trees do look realistic, artificial Christmas trees made from PE look so real, you really have to get up close and feel them to discover they’re not. If you’re looking for the most realistic tree you can get, there’s no doubt that the best choice is a tree with molded tips.

Upside Down Christmas Trees
Possibly the most talked about new artificial Christmas tree design in 2005 was the upside down Christmas tree. These trees had primarily been manufactured in the past as ornament display trees in retail stores. Because the ornaments hang away from the lower branches, they’re easier to see and display. They also allow more space underneath the tree for gifts. By September of 2005, it was nearly impossible to find an upside down Christmas tree, as demand was much greater than supply. This year, it looks again as if these trees will be gone well before the holiday season. A number of new upside down Christmas trees have been made for 2006, including trees that stand alone, hang from the ceiling, and those with molded tips.

Lighting
Artificial trees of every material and style most often come pre-lit for convenience. High quality artificial Christmas trees found in specialty stores and websites can easily be assembled in minutes and look beautiful every time. With pre-lit trees the hassle of untangling light strings and getting that perfect distribution is avoided. The light strings on higher quality trees also stay lit when a single bulb goes out, saving both the time and money of replacing the string or figuring out which light needs to be replaced.

Once you’ve decided the material you want, there are a great many artificial Christmas tree styles to choose from. Some come with pinecones and berries, flocking, various degrees of frosting, and even white. Sizes can range from a 2’ tall table-top tree to a 60’ tall giant artificial Christmas tree. Because your tree should last at least 10 years, it’s important to have the right information to make a good purchasing decision. To find the best quality and selection, visit a specialty Christmas store or website. Happy Holidays!
