Prior to founding Conwell Sukhia & Kirkpatrick P.A., Mr. Sukhia was instrumental in building the Tallahassee litigation department at Fowler White Boggs Banker, the fourth largest firm in Florida. Mr. Sukhia has been retained in a number of high profile cases, most notably as sole trial and appellate counsel for George W. Bush and Richard Cheney in the absentee ballot case of Harris v. Ken Sukhia served as the United States Attorney for North Florida from 1990 to 1993, and as an assistant United States Attorney from 1980 to 1990. Based on U.S. Department of Justice statistics, Mr. Sukhia ran one of the most productive U.S. Attorney’s offices in the country. He began his career as a law clerk to Judge Joseph W. Hatchett Jr. at both the Florida Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Eleventh Circuit. From 1993 to 2005, he was a partner in Fowler White’s Tallahassee office, where he oversaw a successful commercial litigation practice.
