The Career Makeover Contest for Writers

Renegade Writers Linda Formichelli and Diana Burrell have pulled together a team of experts to make over the careers of three lucky writers. Winning writers will receive a career makeover and be asked to blog about their experiences.

Concord, NH (PRWEB) September 17, 2006 -- Makeovers are hot stuff on TV, from What Not to Wear to Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Now writers can get in on the act. For writers who want to make the leap from a 9-to-5 job to full-time freelance, build their writing career while taking care of the kids at home, break into a certain publication, or otherwise boost their writing careers, Linda Formichelli and Diana Burrell are offering a career makeover.

Formichelli and Burrell, authors of The Renegade Writer and The Renegade Writer's Query Letters That Rock, have assembled a crack team of makeover artists that includes marketing experts, literary agents, professional organizers, life coaches, image consultants, and book and magazine editors. They'll work with three lucky writers and give them career makeovers. Burrell and Formichelli will blog about the challenges the writers are facing and ask the experts to share their professional advice on how the writers can turn their freelance dreams into a reality. The winning writers' jobs will be to follow the experts' advice and report back to Formichelli's and Burrell's loyal blog readers on their progress.

Formichelli and Burrell plan to be exceedingly choosy about who they pick -- they want three freelance writers who are highly motivated to make this project a success.
