Frisco, Texas (PRWEB) September 23, 2006 -- Following its plan to be a leading provider of workers' compensation insurance to Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), Providence Property & Casualty Insurance Company announces additions to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Robert "Bob" J. Thomas, Jr., a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association since 1997, now serves as Secretary of the Board. Having specialized in regulatory and insurance law, Providence will benefit from Mr. Thomas's legal ability and past legislative involvements.

Mr. James W. Works, a resident of New Mexico, brings to the Board a wealth of experience. Prior to retiring from his Executive Vice Presidency with a Fort Worth, Texas insurance company, Mr. Works spent 25 years as a consulting actuary.

Mr. Robert Henry "Mick" Thompson serves as the Oklahoma State Bank Commissioner. The Providence Board welcomes Mr. Thompson's financial and regulatory background which includes experience as an insurance company director and prior service as a legislative director in the Oklahoma Governor's office.
