Souvenir Playing Cards Take Look Back at First 50 Years of Circleville, Ohio Pumpkin Show
"Real" Souvenir Playing Cards (part of the Newt's Playing Cards family) has introduced an historical deck of playing cards ($8) which highlights some of the past of the world famous Pumpkin Show located in Circleville, Ohio.
CIRCLEVILLE, OH (PRWEB) September 26, 2006 -- "Real" Souvenir Playing Cards (part of the Newt's Playing Cards family) has introduced an historical deck of playing cards ($8) which highlights some of the past of the world famous Pumpkin Show located in Circleville, Ohio.
As the Pumpkin Show celebrates its 100th Anniversary (1903-2006), this deck of cards joins in with that celebration. The card back features a lighthearted drawing of a pumpkin scarecrow standing in front of the pumpkin tower and Ferris Wheel which is located on North Court St. in downtown Circleville, Ohio. To add a different dimension there are 100 pumpkins hidden in the image to celebrate the 100th Pumpkin Show.
The face or numbered side of the cards features 54 unique Pumpkin Show photos from the first 50 years of the Pumpkin Show. Not only does each image gives a glimpse of where the Pumpkin Show has come from, but it is designed the way "souvenir" playing cards used to be printed with round photos, historical facts and fun information on the faces.
"As the popularity of card playing soars, this deck of cards offers not only a unique look into the past of the Pumpkin Show, but gives Pumpkin Show goers a wonderful collectible," said James Esteph, President of Newt's Playing Cards. This deck holds true to the historical side of "real" souvenir playing cards by using 54 historical photos of the Circleville, Ohio Pumpkin Show.
ABOUT THE PUBLISHER, NEWT'S PLAYING CARDS
In 2004 Newt's Playing Cards offered its first edition Pumpkin Show Playing Cards with a normal deck of playing cards packaged in a souvenir tin. The cards were printed in a very low quantity and only sold a couple hundred.
In 2005 Newt's introduced a deck of "real" souvenir playing cards highlighting historical photos of Circleville Ohio. The deck was successful and ended up being the launching point for many other historical organizations to make their own deck of playing cards as a fundraiser.
