Making it an even more special event, this amazing collection belongs to actor and legend Jack Palance.

The event is hosted and conducted by Frederick H. Schrader of Calistoga, California and Jim Chamberlin, President/CEO of Keystone State Auctioneers, and will be held at Palance's historic Holly-Brooke Farm in Drums (near Hazleton) Pennsylvania.

Jack Palance, an Academy Award-winning actor, is best known to modern movie audiences as Curly in the City Slickers movies. In 1992, he received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as cowboy Curly Washburn. His career has spanned a half century of film and television appearances.

Jack is a passionate and diverse collector, amassing a huge eclectic collection of art and antiques during his travels worldwide. In this fantastic auction appealing to the arts and antiques community, as well as film history collectors, more than 3,000 items (approximately 1,800 lots) will come under the hammer with no minimum or reserve.

Personal Info
Born in Lattimer Mines, Pennsylvania of Ukrainian descent, Jack is the son of a coal miner. He started a professional boxing career in the late 1930s, but joined the military with the outbreak of World War II.

He graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Drama. Palance enjoys landscape painting and is also the author of The Forest of Love, a book of poetry. Jack currently resides in Southern California.

Accomplishments
Jack Palance made his Broadway debut in 1947, followed three years later by his screen debut, Panic in the Streets. He received an Academy Award nomination in his third film role, as Lester Blaine in Sudden Fear, followed by another Oscar nomination for his role as the gunfighter Wilson in Shane. He also played such varied roles as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dracula, and Attila the Hun.

Jack has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was inducted into the Western Performers Hall of Fame at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

In 1957, Palance won an Emmy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Mountain McClintock in the Playhouse 90 production of Rod Serling's Requiem for a Heavyweight. He also was an early host of TV's Ripley's Believe It Or Not.
