Palm Springs, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2007 -- DPPpress (www.dpppress.com) and DigitalPulp Publishing (www.digitalpulppublishing.com), an eBook publishing and distribution company, are continuing to grow their online bookstore (www.dppstore.com).
The one-year-old DPPstore features eBooks by new authors and the best eBooks from self and independent publishers.
This week the store is pleased to announce the addition of Lauren Carr's A Small Case of Murder. Named a finalist for the Independent Books Publishers Award in 2005, the book is the first installment in the Joshua Thornton Mysteries series.
Following the death of his wife Joshua Thornton leaves his job with the U.S. Navy's JAG Division, and moves to Chester, West Virginia with his five children. In Chester everyone knows everyone, and there is never a secret that someone doesn't know. Except, perhaps, for an old, unquestioned disappearance.
Soon after Joshua and his family arrive in Chester a double homicide has the whole town under a microscope. The state attorney general appoints Joshua special prosecutor to solve the crimes, leading him to unravel the truth behind the series of murders revealing a web of deception spun half a century ago on the other side of the globe.
Lauren Carr lives with her husband and son on a mountaintop in West Virginia. They have two dogs (a beagle with delusions of being a Rottweiler and an Australian Shepherd also known as "Satan's Puppy"). Her second full-length book, A Reunion to Die For will be released nationally in hardback in June 2007 by Five Star First Edition Mysteries.
