iD Tech Camps Introduces New "Greening" Initiative

The leading technology summer camp has a mission - to be green.

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) February 8, 2007 -- InternalDrive has introduced a new initiative called "The Greening of iD" which is a program at all the company's offices and summer camp locations to educate employees, summer staff, campers and their parents about the importance of conservation and other green initiatives.

Like most of us, Pete Ingram-Cauchi, CEO of InternalDrive, wants to leave a footprint for generations to come, but he wants that footprint to be green. Now that iD Tech Camps (www.internaldrive.com) summer computer camps are well established at Stanford University, University of Washington, UCLA and 47 other university campuses and is an important company in the summer camp industry, Pete could sit back, relax and smell the flowers. Instead, he thinks about the flowers…and the trees and the type of world he will be leaving to his 2 young boys.

Our employees want to make a difference and we are well on our way to improving the way we do business concerning the environment and our community.
Making Pete's plight tangible is iD Tech Camps, a family owned company that was started by his sister Alexa and their parents Paul and Kathryn.

"We recently launched the 'Greening of iD' with the goal of becoming the greenest summer camp in the world," explains Pete, "we have an incredible opportunity to teach kids and teens about environmental awareness while they are still young."

Pete's goal of making the world a better place began with an idea. That idea has turned into a full-fledged initiative, which is now being implemented throughout the entire company.

The Greening of iD has established initiatives such as providing incentives to employees for carpooling to work, bringing in old batteries for recycling as well as volunteering in the community.

The Greening of iD initiative started with a small idea and has now evolved into a catalyst for positive change. With the Greening of iD being implemented at 50 iD Tech Camps' computer camp sites this upcoming summer that will reach thousands of summer campers and their families, iD is aiming to promote a stronger sense of global consciousness among today's technology minded youth.

Pete explains proudly, "Our employees want to make a difference and we are well on our way to improving the way we do business concerning the environment and our community." He believes that it is his job to help formulate a game plan and a vision for his employees.

Pete believes that by embracing positive change, he will see more of it in the world, going so far as to say "I must embody the change that will make the world a better place for my children."
