An Organic Approach to Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment

Alternative Treatment International, Inc. ("A.T.I."), an environmentally friendly substance abuse and emotional disorder treatment program, promotes an organic lifestyle for clients through its Mind-Body-Spirit-Environment® approach.

Clearwater, FL (PRWEB) March 26, 2007 -- Alternative Treatment International, Inc. ("A.T.I."), an environmentally friendly substance abuse and emotional disorder treatment program, promotes an organic lifestyle for clients through its Mind-Body-Spirit-Environment® approach.

A.T.I. of Clearwater, Florida (http://www.alternative2rehab.com) is a non-12-Step residential substance abuse and emotional disorder treatment program that promotes the philosophy "help to heal the environment, help to heal yourself."

A.T.I. incorporates numerous activities and products into its treatment protocols and facility which focus on using organic, biodegradable, sustainable and environmentally friendly products that are good for people and the planet.

A.T.I. has partnered with "trees for the future" to help heal the planet. Dr. Alan Meyers, A.T.I. Co-Founder, stated, "for every client that comes to A.T.I., we sponsor, in the client's name, the planting of 400 trees at an international location that has been deforested. Our purpose is to show the client that they have done something good to help the world in which we all live and this for them begins the process of building self-esteem."

The treatment program uses biodegradable plates, silverware, client handbooks, notebooks, and paper products, and is developing new biodegradable and environmentally friendly products for use by the clients and staff in the program.

According to Dr. Meyers, "part of the overall recovery and healing process is the ability to raise one's consciousness and think on a higher level. At A.T.I., we are combining a positive, healthy way to perceive, think and live with our highly successful and innovative Perception Therapy® psychotherapeutic programming. One aspect of treating the client as a whole being is addressing their perceptions about the environment or impact on the environment. When their perceptions change, their thinking will change and the resulting behaviors toward or involving the environment begins to change. This assists the clients in their total healing process and recovery through a raised level of awareness. As the clients of A.T.I. are treated with its Mind-Body-Spirit-Environment® approach, they are able reach a higher level of success because the whole person has been addressed, not only the symptoms."

The company has developed an online wellness shopping mall at http://www.mbse.org as well as a new line of organic tennis apparel and products at http://www.organictennis.net , both for the purpose of raising awareness and providing a wide variety of products that are beneficial to the Mind-Body-Spirit-Environment®.
