Eduventures Launches New Learning Collaborative for Student Affairs Professionals
New program focuses on enhancing students' collegiate experience while connecting to other student life cycle programs including enrollment management and development.
Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 11, 2007 -- Eduventures, the leading collaborative research and consulting firm for higher education, has announced the launch of its member-based Student Affairs Learning Collaborative.
The Student Affairs Learning Collaborative provides members with insights and direction to identify best management practices, benchmark performance and improve core processes through research, analysis and networking opportunities. The initial focus of the research will be on common challenges faced by student affairs professionals such as diversity programming, health and mental health care, organizational and staff development and learning outcomes measurement.
"The need for a collaborative research program in student affairs became clear from the questions we were receiving from our Enrollment Management and Development members," said Brent Keltner, senior vice president for Eduventures. "Student affairs plays a key, strategic role in the mission of the university by using experiences and activities outside the classroom to develop well-rounded leaders and citizens. The Student Affairs program launch also completes Eduventures' strategic mission of providing research support across the student life cycle, linking research on prospective students, current students and alumni."
Eduventures' Student Affairs Learning Collaborative launches with 20 charter members, including university leaders from University of California, Los Angeles; The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; University of Maryland; and Northwestern University. Eduventures offers similar research programs in Continuing and Professional Education, Development, Enrollment Management and Online Higher Education.
