Medical Outsourcing: Bumrungrad Hospital Death Investigation Deepens

The father of Joshua N. Goldberg who died under mysterious circumstances at Bumrungrad Hospital has filed additional criminal charges and has taken further action with the Thai and American governments.

New York, NY (PRWEB) July 9, 2007 -- James Goldberg, father of Joshua Goldberg, has filed additional criminal charges (Criminal Complaint number 1484/2549) against various members of Bumrungrad Hospital and it's Board of Directors.

Mr. Goldberg stated from his home in New York that since February 23, 2006, the date of the death of his son at Bumnungrad Hospital in Bangkok, the Thai Police, "have made no progress in the investigation of his son's death." Police Major Samark, the investigating officer said that after "10 months the police are still awaiting approval from the Thai Medical Council to proceed on the grounds that medical foul play was involved."

will soon publish, in a special section of the website www.bumrungraddeath.com, explanations of the autopsy pictures of his son which further add graphic evidence that his son's death was no accident or mere circumstance of malpractice.
In late May 2007, Mr. Goldberg has filed charges of pre-meditated murder against Dr. Peter K. Morley, Director of International Patient Services at Bumrungrad Hospital and Dr. Sukitti Pannapung, a cardiologist who was the attending physician at the time of his 23-year-old son's death.

According to Mr. Goldberg, a private citizen can file and prosecute criminal complaints under Thai Law. Mr. Goldberg said the latest round of charges have been added to his ongoing criminal complaint 1484/2549, which he is pursuing in the Criminal Court of Thailand.

In conjunction with the Counsel General of the United States Embassy, Mr. Goldberg delivered a letter to The Commander and Secretary General of The Royal Thai Police demanding action and to hold the local police accountable for dereliction of duty, stated Mr. Goldberg.

Mr. Goldberg has been informed by the Vice Counsel of the US Embassy in Thailand, Mr. Ted Coley, that Interpol has joined the investigation and will coordinate its efforts with the Thai Government, the United States Government and the Thai Police. A letter which can be viewed on www.bumrungraddeath.com, was delivered by hand by the Counsel General to the Thai Government, Mr. Goldberg said.

Mr. Banner, Bumrungrad's Chief of Operations, said that "that they, the hospital, had conducted their own investigation using their 'internal resources' and found no wrong doing."

Goldberg told the US Embassy that, "When asked to see this report which goes contrary to the detailed forensic report prepared by Board Certified American medical examiner, Dr. Anna Vertkin, MD, Mr. Banner refused" Mr. Goldberg said that he "was ushered out of the building by armed guards ... and told 'not to return.' "

Mr. Goldberg has been consulting with famed Civil Rights Attorney, Charles Bonner, about additional charges that Mr. Goldberg is informed and believes to be under the jurisdiction of the United States.

Mr. Goldberg has also said that he "will soon publish, in a special section of the website www.bumrungraddeath.com, explanations of the autopsy pictures of his son which further add graphic evidence that his son's death was no accident or mere circumstance of malpractice." Mr. Goldberg "advised caution for the readers of the site since the images may well be very disturbing to some."

Mr. Goldberg and Dr. Anna Vertkin, MD, the Forensic specialist who analyzed the hospital chart of the deceased, Joshua Goldberg, have begun a book on the decline of medicine in the United States: Death Rattle for Healthcare In America.
